Popular EM-ID card code format

Manchester code of each EM-ID card is hexadecimal, but people are normally use ABA or WG code only, which is decimal, what is the relationship between them?

 

Let’s first see the Manchester chip code for an EM-ID Card. It is composed of Version Code + Customer Code + ID Code, example: 12 5533FFFF, version code "1", customer code "2", ID code (8 numbers or letters) "5533FFFF".

 

Then we see ABA code, there are 3 sub-categories under the ABA format:

1), ABA (8H): The ID code (8 numbers or letters, according to the example of "5533FFFF") is converted into decimal and the calculation result is "1429471231" according to the example, a total of 10 digits.

2) , ABA (6H): The ID code (last 6 numbers or letters, for example, "33FFFF") is converted to decimal, and the calculation result is "03407871", for example.

3), ABA (4H): The ID code (last 4 numbers or letters, according to the example of "FFFF") is converted to decimal, according to the example calculation result is "65535", a total of 5 digits.

 

For WG code, the most common are WG26, and WG34.

1), WG26 (2H + 4H): The ID code (last 6th, 5th digit or letter + last 4 digits or alphabet, for example "33 + FFFF") is converted to decimal system. , 65535 ", a total of eight numbers.
